PAIA Notice

How to request access to information Restart holds, in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act.

Last updated: 18 July 2026

Introduction

This notice is published in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 ("PAIA"), which gives you the right to request access to records held by Restart (Reg 2025/700827/07), a private body, subject to the grounds for refusal set out in PAIA.

Records We Hold

In the ordinary course of business, Restart holds records such as:

  • Customer order, delivery and payment records
  • Customer account and correspondence records (email, WhatsApp, phone notes)
  • Supplier and courier partner records
  • Financial, accounting and tax records
  • Website and marketing analytics records

How to Request Access

To request access to a record held by Restart, submit a written request to our Information Officer (contact details below) describing the record you are seeking in enough detail for us to locate it, and the form in which you would like to receive it (for example, a copy or an inspection).

Requester Details

Please include your full name, contact details, proof of identity, and — if requesting on behalf of someone else — proof of your authority to act for that person.

Fees

PAIA permits a private body to charge a reasonable request fee and, where applicable, an access fee for reproduction. Restart will advise you of any applicable fee, in line with the fees prescribed under PAIA regulations, before processing your request.

Response Timeline

We will respond within the timeframes prescribed by PAIA (generally within 30 days of a valid request being received), and will notify you in writing if access is granted, partially granted, or refused, together with reasons for any refusal.

Information Officer & Contact Details

Restart has not appointed a separate Information Officer. In terms of PAIA and POPIA, the owner/operator of the business is therefore the deemed Information Officer for all requests.

Should you be dissatisfied with the outcome of a request, you may approach the Information Regulator of South Africa (JD House, 27 Stiemens Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg, 2001 · complaints.IR@justice.gov.za) or a competent court.
